Kyykkijät (squatters) is a celebration of the squat position!

The lower back can be rested in a squat. Blueberries are picked in a squat. The squat is an exception in the cityscape but was very normal in the time of the hunter-gatherer. Our ancestors did everything in a squat, but for a homo sapiens sitting in a chair, squatting is seen as a special achievement. However, there is something delightfully naive and teasing about squatting. Through these rugs I want to invite everyone to squat!
